C06 - Controlling photoinduced PCET and PCEnT with sub-molecular precision
This project investigates how molecules move both charge and energy when excited by light, and how these processes are influenced by their structure and surroundings. Using high-resolution scanning probe microscopy combined with tip-enhanced optical spectroscopy, we explore excited-state PCET reactions at the atomic scale. We focus on how vibronic transitions and local electric fields can steer the outcome of such reactions. Our experiments aim to uncover how specific molecular arrangements favor one pathway over another.
