Alex Barboni
Alex Barboni is PhD candidate in Social Sciences-Sociology at the University of Padova, Italy. Currently, he is visiting researcher at Georg-August University Göttingen, Institute of Sociology under supervising of Professor Nicole Mayer-Ahuja.
Alex’s study is based on qualitative research for investigating the impact of digital platforms on teachers' work conditions in Italy. He focuses mainly on the learning management systems which became increasingly widespread during Covid pandemic, and examines the impact of their integration with long-standing teaching transformations in upper secondary schools. Ultimately, he examines the strategies teachers employ to manage their current workload, highlighting both grassroots practices and the State's role in regulating this process.
