Alumni

We promote the exchange between doctoral candidates and former members who have taken different career paths. Many of them would like to stay connected to GSGG and university and are willing to share their experiences with the career start after having obtained a doctoral degree and to share their informal knowledge with you. In this way you gain direct insights into various career paths.
In the course of our alumni lecture series, former members speak of their professional career from a personal perspective and are willing to answer your questions.

Alumni event with Dr. Dominique Franke-Sakuth (Prehistory and Early History) on January 12, 2026

On Monday, January 12, 2026, Dr. Dominique Franke-Sakuth will be our digital guest. Dr. Franke-Sakuth holds a doctorate in Prehistory and Early History and currently works at the Westlausitz ǀ Finsterwalde office, which acts as an interface between local universities (including BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg) and the population and regional economy. In 2024, she published her dissertation entitled “Between Tradition and Change: From the Late Neolithic to the Early Bronze Age in the North German Plain of Lower Saxony.”
